Adopt T.O.S

The following covers all officially created adopts for the Viritail species. This includes its subspecies, the Moontails. This TOS only covers Species Designers that are registered with PaperFen. Any other minor adopt artists possibly allowed in the future must operate under their own TOS.

Payment:

Designers of an adopt will be paid in full before the purchaser receives the un-watermarked version of the adopt ref. Payment will be made through the designer's chosen method.

Terms:

We have the right to refuse any adopt purchase for any reason. No means no, and our refusal reason does not need to be stated.

You must credit the designer of the adopt for its creation.

You may use the character’s design to commission or create additional artwork, stories, fursuits, etc, as long as the original designer is credited for its creation at all times.

For commercial usage, please contact the designer you purchased from to discuss their specific terms.

You may not sell adopts that you have purchased from our designers at a higher value than the original price UNLESS you have made or commissioned art of said character. The selling price must always be the sum of the value of all art associated with the character.

You may request minor edits to the adopt ref, and it is up to the individual designer to decide whether these edits must be paid for or are minor enough to be free. The designer may choose to not take on the edits at all.

Characters you purchase from us that are canonically over 18 may be used in a nsfw setting, however the species nsfw rules MUST be followed. If this applies to you, please see those rules in our discord server.

Characters you purchase from us may NOT be used to promote harmful messages, including but not limited to homophobia, transphobia, racism, etc. If the designer is uncomfortable with how you are using their design, they have the right to formally request the return of character ownership.

You may not use the design, or anything relating to the Viritail species in any ai artwork generation. If we find you to be using ai generation to create works with our designs and creations, we have the right to formally request the return of character ownership.

These terms will be automatically agreed to upon purchasing an adopt from us, but to confirm you have read them, the code word is "Rye".

If our TOS has been broken…

A refund may be requested by our designers if any of our terms have been broken by the purchaser. This refund will be paid in full, but depending on the payment processor, fees may be taken during the transaction. This refund returns all character ownership back to the original designer.

We can not force you to return a character, nor can we take back a character’s design without a refund, but we hope that you will comply with the wishes of the designer.

Depending on how severe the terms have been broken, you may either be blacklisted from purchasing from us again, or you may be outright banned from our community.
