ANDROLLA

Danger level : 4/5

A tropical, rainy planet used for generating energy. It has no oceans or seas on its surface, just a network of rivers and lakes running through a seemingly endless rainforest. The planet also has no glacial poles, instead being hot and humid pretty much everywhere. The Androlla Rainforest is made up of massive trees ranging anywhere from green to cyan in colour. It's surface is very obscured from space, as there is an almost perpetual rainstorm swirling around the planet. The fast-moving currents from the harsh downpours make it a perfect environment for generating hydroelectric power. This energy is stored in large batteries that are transported all over the Virilian System. The planet also features local fruit trees that grow in the humid environment of the planet, which are farmed in large orchards for both their fruit and wood. Androlla also farms fungi for processing protein alternatives. There are a few species of predators dangerous to Virilian life in the jungles of Androlla, so farmers and hydroelectric workers are accompanied by soldiers when outside. Most of these soldiers are Moontails by modern day.

The fauna on Androlla include fish, invertebrates, amphibians, and reptiles. Mammals and birds never evolved here. The water content and near constant downpour is what led to the evolution of Wooly Viritails. Androlla has a higher than average oxygen level in its atmosphere. Arthropods take advantage of this and can grow to enormous sizes. Amphibians found here are also of great size, since the air is always humid. Giant fungus are commonly spotted on jungle trees, or sprouting large bodies from the soggy forest floor.

Viritails who were sent here to colonize the planet were often from the Verdan Rainforest. Viris here had a higher chance of surviving the elements of a climate they were familiar to. Some Viris from the Verdan had what was called the Wooly Morph, causing curly, thick, and waterproof fur. This morph fully evolved into the Wooly subspecies on Androlla, as that fur type along with some other traits gave them a massive leg up on surviving there. Their noses also became fur covered, with large nostrils assisting in breathing through the humidity. Populations of Wooly Viris moved back to Hysia to return to the Verdan Rainforest.
