WHISKER

Viricauda intelligentes whisker

Traits of interest : Feline features, large hyper-sensitive whiskers, retractable claws, vertical pupils

What whisker viritails have is all in the name: whiskers! These long modified hairs are sensory organs. While all viritails do have them, on most they are barely noticeable. Whisker Viris on the other paw have exceptionally long and pronounced whiskers. They also have vertical pupils to aid in night vision, and a shorter snout. This snout gives them the strongest bite force of all viritail subspecies. This snout shrinking means they no longer grow their back two molars. To aid in catching, holding, and transporting slippery fish, they also have razor sharp retractable claws. Their claws being retractable helps keep them sharp.
